The Moon in the Birth Chart. The Moon is a very important planet in the Birth Chart as it is from this that we operate from through childhood and thus it becomes our foundation. Although we grow towards our Sun (our own 'mind') in adulthood, the Moon is a 'feeling, reflective' energy that picks up and stores early messages and experiences. Many of our behavioural and emotional problems can be uncovered by examining the role of Moon in the Natal Chart. The Moon informs and represents the way we habitually respond and react throughout life. It denotes our instinctive behaviour and the sign it is in describes its innate quality, whereas the house reflects the environmental influence. Any aspect to the Moon shows how it reacts. If for example it has a connection to Mars, then it may be more assertive in having its needs met. Moon with Venus will emphasise its female or creative quality and Moon in aspect to Mercury may be able to express its feeling in some communicative way.. Several possibilities could provide an answer as to why the moon would have charcoal-black surface patches, even though it is circling a dwarf planet that is as bright as freshly fallen snow. One theory that has been suggested proposes that, unlike larger objects such as Makemake, its own little companion moon is so small that it cannot gravitationally keep a grip onto a bright and icy crust, which then sublimates, undergoing a sea-change from solid to gas under the melting influence of warming sunlight. This would make the little moon akin to comets and other KBOs, many of which are well-coated with very dark material. The fact is, the moon really does have a direct impact on the number of fish you catch and the size of those fish. The reason is that the gravitational pull of the moon on the earth affects the places and the timing of fish feeding patterns, and in fact almost every animal that is not a primate. Fish are particularly susceptible to the gravitational effects of the moon because of the differing heights of the tides. When you think about, the moon has a direct effect on the entire environment in which fish live!
